Day 27 of MnCAN’s 30 Days of Life with Aphasia — Meet Terry!  Terry is a valued member of one of our Roseville Conversation Groups, where he has found friendship, camaraderie, and connection with others who truly understand life with aphasia.  One of the things Terry feels most passionate about is helping people learn more about aphasia so it doesn’t remain such a “mystery” to those who have never experienced it. He believes that the more we educate others and share our experiences, the more understanding, patient, and supportive our communication partners can be.  Terry appreciates having a place where he can openly discuss communication situations that were challenging or frustrating, knowing that others in the group have often faced similar experiences. There is comfort in being able to share those moments with people who simply “get it.”  For Terry, one of the greatest benefits of MnCAN is the reassurance that comes from navigating life after a brain change alongside others who understand the journey. The support, encouragement, and shared experiences found in group help make challenges feel more manageable and remind everyone that they are not alone.  Thank you, Terry, for your willingness to share your perspective and for helping others better understand the importance of connection, education, and community.  #30DaysOfLifeWithAphasia #MnCAN #AphasiaAwareness #LifeWithAphasia #CommunicationMatters #CommunityConnection #AphasiaCommunity #MinnesotaConnectAphasiaNow #FriendshipAndSupport #StrongerTogether  Check out our fundraiser for June Aphasia Awareness Month to donate! https://givebutter.com/mncan-june-aphasia-awareness-month…  |
