- Making an online donation, event registration or opting into our newsletter list, will automatically add you to the list of people who receive our monthly e-newsletter, fundraising appeals, and other event news through email and/or direct mail. If you wish to be removed from this list, subscribers may choose to unsubscribe at any time; unsubscribe information is located at the bottom of each enews communication or by contacting contact@mncan.org. Â
- Information collected and used includes personal information (name, address, birth date, email, phone number, credit card number, family members) obtained from donors, program participants and prospects through pledge cards, letters, surveys, applications, donations, event registrations, inquiries, and other forms, in writing, in person, by phone, or electronically.
- Individual information may also be collected about donors and their present and past giving history, volunteer activity, and any other interactions an individual may have had with MnCAN.
- MnCAN uses secure transaction methods (SSL) when collecting credit card information over the internet. MnCAN does not disclose to third parties credit card account information provided to it via www.mncan.org.Â
- MnCAN may track information as to which of our website pages are being visited and used so we can make decisions about the design and use of the site.
- MnCAN does not share, sell or trade your email address, mailing address, phone number or other personal information.
- Without the donor’s consent we do not provide donor information to organizations or individuals outside the organization.
- We educate our employees, independent contractors, and volunteers on the importance of protecting the privacy and security of confidential personal and organizational information.
- We will use our best efforts to comply with the expressed wishes of any donor who does not want their name used in any promotional material, wishes their name removed from solicitation lists, or wishes to have their gifts or services be anonymous.
