DESCRIPTION:Aphasia conversation groups are 6-7 people with aphasia who gather to practice conversation techniques and find connection. The groups are facilitated by a speech language pathologist and focus on both the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) and Supportive Conversation for Aphasia (SCA). Conversation groups are a great opportunity to gain confidence and build friendships to continue to participate in life with aphasia. Registration is required. SUMMARY:Virtual PPA Support Group
DESCRIPTION:The VIRTUAL PPA Support group is for people with Primary Progressive Aphasia as well as those caring for someone with PPA. We highly encourage all participants to have completed the 8-week MnCAN Staying Connected PPA Education program. \nThis group provides ongoing support from peers and is facilitated by a Speech-Language Pathologist. \nThere is currently no fee for this group but we would invite you to make a donation to MnCAN\, please visit our website at http://www.mncan.org \nIf you would like more information about this group please email MnCAN at contact@mncan.org.
