SUMMARY:Glencoe Area In-Person Aphasia Conversation Group
DESCRIPTION:Aphasia conversation groups are 6-7 people with aphasia who gather to practice conversation techniques and find connection. The groups are facilitated by a speech language pathologist and focus on both the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) and Supportive Conversation for Aphasia (SCA). Conversation groups are a great opportunity to gain confidence and build friendships to continue to participate in life with aphasia. \nRegistration is required. DESCRIPTION:Are you looking to enjoy reading in a supportive environment?\nAdditional Details:\n\nAll sessions are supervised by MnCAN Group Facilitator with additional support of graduate students\nYou will need to purchase the book on your own or check out through your local library.\nParticipants are assigned a few chapters a week (30-60 minutes) to listen to and/or read outside of our book club discussion meetings. During book club\, we re-cap the chapters\, hear your thoughts and opinions and do an activity related to the chapters to provide more opportunities to connect and communicate\nwith one another.\n\nWe have a lot of fun!

DESCRIPTION:The PPA Support Group is an ongoing support group for persons with PPA and their care partners who have completed the Staying Connected Class. The purpose of this group is to provide ongoing support throughout the PPA journey. Both care partners and persons with PPA are invited to attend. \nThe support group meets monthly in-person in the Roseville area or via a virtual option. The group is facilitated by a speech-language pathologist. No tuition or registration is required.
