You are Awesome Givers!
Sixty of You Raised $3,615 to Promote MnCAN Programs for People with Aphasia

Untitled design (10)
You showed up during the Give to the Max Day campaign, November 1-16th. Many of you already participate in MnCAN programs; you are staff, family and friends of staff, former and current students, health care professionals. Some of you were moved by recent posts, emails and letters. If you didn't have a chance to donate, it's never too late! Just go to mncan.org and click on the MAKE A DONATION button.

In 2018, your gifts will work toward:
  • developing a care partner education/support group
  • initiating an education and support program for people with Primary Progressive Aphasia
  • establishing 2 new aphasia conversation groups in addition to our current 11 groups now operating
  • continuing to offer scholarship support for people with aphasia to participate in our programs as needed.

Thank you to all of you:

Fabulous Voices Moving Forward Concert!

Voices Moving Forward Aphasia Choir performed a great concert on Saturday November 11 at Westview Acres in Waconia! To hear their rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone", click the photo below. What a dedicated group of singers who have a lot of fun! Don't worry if you can't sing or talk well to be in this group -- it's about life participation and enjoyment! They do laugh a lot! But generally, not while singing! If you want to learn more or join us, contact Heather Vangerud at vangerudh@centurylink.net.
